Improving access to Newham's Hidden Gems

Community gardens can often be hard to find, tucked away behind residential streets with no signage t to help people find them.

To help these lovely places in late January an event was organised at London's National Park City visitor centre off Oxford Street. The event brought the "Hidden Gems" together to raise awareness and start to create emblems that resonate with the place. A selection are shown below. We hope every "Hidden Gem" will have an emblem so that a trail map can be created for wider release. The eventual aim is to create a camino-style waymarked trail linking gardens with local bus and train stations.
